O'Flynn no-hits Southlands
Steve O'Flynn faced the one of the minimum batters as Tuff Dogs thoroughly embarrassed Southlands 15-0.
O'Flynn, the back-up pitcher for the Dogs, would have had a perfect game except for an error in the fourth inning.
The Dogs led this contest by scoring five runs in the first, but in reality, as soon as leadoff hitter Ryan Gaglio (2-4) crossed the plate, they had more than enough runs. Both Kevin Taylor (3-5) and O'Flynn (4-4) homered for the Dogs as the winners didn't exactly overwhelm Southlands with the bat in managing just 16 hits through six innings.
ACE Kings 20, Killer Goldfish 5
ACE scored six in the fourth and seven in the fifth to break open a tight 7-4 game. Paul DeCouto (3-3), Huan Tseng (2-2), and Don Burgess (3-3) were all perfect at the plate for the winners. Chris Masucci (3-4) drove in four runs in the winning cause while Joe Bellanca was also 3-4.
Greg Bell led the Goldfish batters by going 3-3 while team-mates Richard Madeiros (3-3) and Matt Durrant (1-3) homered.[[In-content Ad]]
