Teresa Perozzi won't be making a bid for the World Boxing Council title in March.The NABC champ could still return to the ring at the Teacher's Fight Night next month.

But if she does it will be for a friendly bout designed to help her get more time in the ring.

She won't be putting her title on the line or competing for the WBC title as had been suggested.

American Yvonne ‘Silk’ Reis (5-9-1) and Kenyan Conjastina 'Hands of Stone' Achieng (8-3-1), who already holds the WBF and the WIBF middleweight titles, will compete for the vacant belt in Nairobi in April.

The belt remains an ambition for Perozzi and she will be keeping a close eye on proceedings with a view to a possible title bid at some stage in the future.

“I’d like to fight for the belt at some stage. They would definitely be good opponents. Yvonne Reis is a very experienced fighter who I know a bit about. We'll have to see what happens.”[[In-content Ad]]
