Nine players face disciplinary hearings after a weekend of turmoil. The Bermuda Cricket Board said it "strongly deplore the acts of violence and player indiscipline that occurred at a number of games last Sunday."

Four players - Treadwell Gibbons Jnr, Detroy Smith, Ricardo Brangman and Mackie Crane - face charges at the highest level of bringing the game into disrepute.

Gibbons, who plays for Western Stars, is charged with three counts of physical assault of another player, umpire, referee, official or spectator. His Level 2 charges include two counts of using language that is offensive, obscene or of a generally insulting nature to an umpire, player or spectator. He is also charged with one count of abuse of ground equipment, which is a Level 1 offence.

Smith, of Social Club, is charged with two Level 4 offences - one count of physically assaulting an umpire and one count of violence on the field of play. He also face four Level 3 charges, all involving intimidation of an umpire by language or conduct. In addition Smith is charged with two Level 2 counts; one of showing serious dissent of an umpire's decision by action or verbal abuse; and one of use of language that is obscene, offensive or of a generally insulting nature to an umpire.

Devonshire Rec's Brangman faces one Level 4 count of physical assault of another player, umpire, referee or spectator and one Level 3 count of a threat of assault on another player, official or spectator.

Crane, also from Rec, faces one Level 4 charge of physical assault of an umpire.

Justin Robinson and Khiry Furbert of Western Stars are also up on charges. Furbert for two Level 3 counts of threat of assault of another player and a single Level 1 count of showing dissent at umpire's decision by action or verbal abuse.

Both of Robinson's charges are Level 2, one count of using language that is obscene, offensive or generally insulting to another player and one breach of code, as captain of the team, allowing his players to bring the game into disrepute and causing abandonment of the game by failing to control his team.
