Michael Jackson tribute concert at the Princess
A tribute to the King of Pop is to go ahead at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess this Saturday.
The event comes just over a year since Michael Jackson’s death.
Producer and director David Lee Tucker who is organizing the event hopes it will bring the community together through the positive messages in Jackson’s songs.
Taking to the stage will be a number of Michael Jackson impersonators and dancers — all local artists. Following these performances there will be a video tribute with footage of the super star’s life projected onto a large screen in the Princess Ballroom.
Music and dance
This will be followed by dancing and songs by a mix of artists including, of course, the star of the show.
Doors open at 8pm and showtime is 9pm.
All proceeds from the event will go towards a charity yet to be decided.
There are VIP tickets available, which include food and drinks.
Regular tickets cost $30 and are available for purchase from next Friday from Shannon’s Boutique in the Windsor Building and Caesar’s Pharmacy in Somerset. n
For VIP tickets, which cost $85 email Mr. Tucker at [email protected] or call 234-3715.
