Marsh wins low-hit game
Police Enforcers 3
Marsh took advantage of two first inning errors to score three unearned runs as they doubled up B Division rivals Police. Dacosta Larrier and Kourtney Fassler were both 2-3 for the winners as Marsh only managed 10 hits. Terry Paynter (2-3) picked up two RBI with a first inning single for Police. Justin Raynor was also 2-3 in the loss.
BEST 19, Olympia Capital 16
Jevanie 'Smoky' Fubler (2-3) hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to lift BEST to the victory. Both teams entered the seventh frame knotted at 14. Anthony Christopher (4-5) and Dean Douglas (4-5) helped push across two runs for Olympia to give them a brief lead.
The BEST rally was spurred by three walks - they had 15 free passes in the game - before Fubler's heroics ended the contest. Jonathan Correia was 3-4 for BEST while Scott Shannon was 3-5 for Olympia.
Docksiders 21, Argus 2
Argus scored two runs in the first and weren't heard from again as they were limited to five hits by Ryan Outerbridge. The slams from Docksiders started early with seven runs in the first and five in the second as they coasted to the win.
Adam Mattal (3-4) hit two homers while Logan Alexander (2-3), Josh Strang (2-3), Outerbridge (3-4), Sarah Robinson (2-3) and Darren Woods all helped spank Argus. Larry Peck and Bill Vickers were both 1-2 for the losers.
A Division
P&M 10, Tuff Dogs 7
P&M scored nine runs in the first inning and coasted to this triumph in a game that wasn't as close as the score indicated. Tuff Dogs scored all seven runs in the sixth inning as Diego McCullum and Bradley Barton hit back-to-back homers. Jermaine Jeffers was 2-3 in the loss.
Mark Herauf and McLaren Lowe both homered for P&M. Terence Corday, Herauf, Daniel Bordage, and Curtis McGuiness were all 2-3 for the winners.
ACE Kings 11,
PCS Panthers 7
ACE ended a 15-game losing streak over a short-handed PCS squad. Les Dziwenka homered for ACE while team-mates Dan Sullivan (3-3), Joe Bellanca (3-4) and Abby Baron (3-4) all swung the bat well.
Kevin McCorty (3-3) was the top bat for PCS, who only had seven hits.
Southland Swingers 23, Killer Goldfish 7
Consistent scoring from Southlands led them to a comfortable win over Goldfish. Art Palmer (3-6) and Darren Green (3-3) hit balls out of the park for Southlands. Team-mates Greg Carey (5-6), Mike Fox (5-5), and Joe Barroso (5-6) all swung the bat well for Southlands.
Matt Durrant (3-4) and Alex Stych went back-to-back for Goldfish while team-mates Sal Bartolini and Ryan Davidge were both 2-3.
