Maria not yet a threat to Bermuda
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10: Tropical Storm Maria is “not a threat to Bermuda” at this time, the Bermuda Weather Service (BWS) said today.
The storm was this afternoon 918 nautical miles (1,056 miles) south-southeast of the island. Its closest point of approach within the next 72 hours is expected to be 504 nautical miles (579 miles) south-southwest of Bermuda at 12pm Tuesday.
The weather system currently has winds of up to 35 knots and is being monitored by the BWS.
