The Classic replaced the Professional Bowlers Tournament that had run for 14 years.
Lightbourn came out of Saturday's 10-game qualifier with 2,549 pins - good enough to start Sunday's step-ladder final in second behind Lavinc Samuels.
Jermaine DeSilva and David Maycock rolled off to start the festivities on Sunday as they were the fifth and fourth place qualifiers. Maycock moved on by defeating DeSilva 175 to 146.
He then faced third qualifier Rickai Binns, who out rolled Maycock 228 to 189.
It was then Lightbourn's time to shine.
He downed Binns 220 to 201 and then took out favourite Samuels 231 to 170. For his effort, Lightbourn won $4,000. Samuels didn't leave empty-handed either as he pocketed $2,000. Other prize winners were Binns ($1,800), Maycock ($1,750), DeSilva ($1,700), Lamar Richardson ($1,400), Damien Matthews ($1,300), Mike McCallum ($1,200), Carl Reid ($1,100), Vernon Daniels ($1,050), Patric Tucker ($1,000) and Stephen Paul ($950).
Both Daniels and Tucker were awarded extra cash. Daniels was the top senior and as such won an additional $500 while Tucker was the top woman and won another $300.
