Letter - Taking a walk is so risky these days
By choice I have absolutely no wish to walk on the roads, due to the lack of sidewalks.
I have already had one road accident, not in Bermuda, but I certainly do not wish to be hit by another vehicle. Could you please tell me why car drivers do not give way to me when I have no option but to walk on the road to get to where I have to?
At times drivers just skim past you, do not give an adequate amount of space between yourself and the car, and sometimes you can feel the wing mirror on your arm.
They are very inconsiderate, so I am please asking all Bermuda car drivers, to please take more consideration if you see somebody walking on the road, and to please remember it's not by choice.
Thank you in anticipation of a safe journey home tonight.
