Would you please print the following to clarify references to myself made in the 'Sun' on Wednesday, January 21, under the headline: "Don't Use Obama...."

Reporter Tim Hall had contacted me on Monday, January 19, asking if I might like to comment on the significance of the Inauguration. I made some comments and there is an accurate quote which is contained in the third paragraph, beginning: "Obama is an example of leadership..."

At no time did Tim Hall ask me anything about Rolfe Commissiong, or comments that he might have made on previous occasions.   

I'm sure that you appreciate this attempt to assist in maintaining the normally good standards of the Sun's journalism.
