Letter - Burchall is right on the mark
I feel the passion in the writings of Larry Burchall's editorial in your paper. I am just as bewildered.
If Government (we the people) cannot buy this building [Alexandrina Hall], then there are Bermudians and others who have become wealthy through entrepreneurial business operations on this island.
In all my travels, I, as a black woman, always looked for historical black museums. One of the most interesting museums I have visited several times is in Philadelphia.
Our children, black and white, can benefit from a black museum (not an art centre) in the city.
Since there are very few places of interest in the city, this can also attract tourists.
I hope that this building can be saved. The architectural design of this building and others have fallen to the wrecking ball and this is disturbing. Where is MY Bermuda?
