MONDAY, DECEMBER 5: Nick Kyme defeated Micah Franklin in straight games to take the BCS Bermuda Squash Racquets Club Championship on Saturday night.

Kyme won 11-7, 12-10 and 11-7 to lift the title.

He had defeated Andrew Stout in the semifinal with an 11-3, 11-5, 11-4 victory while Franklin advanced with a 11-2, 11-7, 11-2 victory over Tommy Sherratt.

Laura Robinson won the Ladies final with an 11-4, 11-2 and 11-8 triumph over Liz Martin.

Robinson had downed Sherice Bashir in the semis 11-3, 11-8, 11-8. Martin had a fight on her hands against Susie Lacey in her semifinal match. She won the first two games 11-6, 11-4 before Lacey put up a nearly great comeback by winning games three and four 6-11, 5-11, but finally succumbed 11-4.

The Men’s Veterans final brewed up a winner as Richard Brewer proved he had the hops to down Jan Brewer 11-9, 9-11, 11-5, 11-8.

The Ladies Division final allowed Liz Martin to cart off one title as she beat Jane Chapman 11-4, 11-4, 11-6.

Klyer Knights lifted the Men’s Plate final with a 11-6, 11-8, 11-6 triumph over Jure Malgaj.

Michelle Hodder took the Ladies Plate final in a struggle against Liz Browne. Hooder eventually emerged on top with an 11-9, 4-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-8 win.

The Men’s Veterans Plate winner was Tony Riker while Suzanne Rose took the Ladies Veterans Plate.
