Hurricane Sandy causes mail delays
TUESDAY, NOV. 6: The Bermuda Post Office (BPO) is advising the public that all mail originating from or in transit through the US to Bermuda has been delayed as a result of last week’s superstorm – Hurricane Sandy.
As the public is aware, Sandy’s recent destruction along the US North East coast disrupted numerous services, including flights out of New York and other major US cities.
The Post Office anticipates that normal delivery of overseas mail will resume once airline schedules out of New York and other east coast cities have returned to normal and the back log of mail has been cleared.
The BPO takes this opportunity to apologise to its customers for any inconvenience resulting from the delivery service delay.
