MONDAY, DECEMBER 5: John Campbell and Philip Butterfield are retiring from their current positions at HSBC Bank Bermuda.

Mr Campbell, chairman of the board of HSBC Bermuda Limited, said he will be stepping down as a director and chairman and will stand for reelection at the bank’s AGM, to be held on May 10.

He has served on the board for 25 years and as chairman for seven years.

Mr Butterfield said he also intends to retire from the bank on May 10 after serving as CEO for the last eight years.

Richard Moseley, deputy CEO, will be appointed CEO on Mr. Butterfield’s retirement. Mr Moseley will have been with the HSBC Bermuda for almost three years and the HSBC Group for 32 years.

Mr Butterfield will replace Mr Campbell as chairman of the board on May 10.

Dennis Tucker also plans to retire from the board and will not stand for reelection.

Mr Campbell has approved the appointment of Brian Robertson, chief executive, HSBC Bank, plc and an HSBC group managing director to HSBC’s board effective January 1, 2012.
