HSBC sues Wayne Furbert
WEDNESDAY, SEP. 12: Bermuda’s Minister of Tourism and Business Development is being sued over his tourism business.
HSBC filed a writ against Bermuda Hosts, Calworth Furbert, Minister of Tourism and Business Development Wayne Furbert and Stephen Martin.
Marshall Diel & Myers are the lawyers for HSBC.
Calworth Furbert, Wayne Furbert’s father, is the CEO and president of Bermuda Triangle Tours, which is the company that operates the www.bermudahosts.bm domain name on the Internet.
Bermuda Hosts was a transportation company that offered sightseeing tours, dining tours, shopping tours and golfing tours for visitors to Bermuda. The company provided transportation services to visitors.
Minister Furbert declined comment as it was a matter before the courts.Both Calworth Furbert and HSBC also declined comment. Calls to the Bermuda Hosts phone number reveal it is no longer in service.
