Fed up scanning menus searching for something that meets your dietary needs?
The Fairmont Group is now catering for those with specific needs.
Both Fairmont Southampton and Fairmont Hamilton Princess have launched a new menu, Lifestyle Cuisine Plus.
It caters for those with specific diet-dependant conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, plus unique dietary preferences like gluten-free, macrobiotic, raw and vegan diets. Hotel guests and diners are encouraged to speak directly to Fairmont chefs, who have been trained to prepare a vast array of special dietary and allergy-specific meals.
They will use recipe analysis software to help customise appetizers, entrees and desserts.
Thomas Frost, executive chef at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, said: “As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, I know how difficult it can be to find food in restaurants and when travelling.
“Diners with specific dietary requests often have to forfeit flavour and choice for their health, but not at Fairmont. We understand the need for individual diets and eating preferences.”
The new menu includes macrobiotic grilled red snapper at Bacci, gluten-free white onion soup at Harley’s and heart-healthy Scottish smoked salmon with lemon and wholegrain toast.
Fairmont Lifestyle Cuisine Plus is an extension of Fairmont Lifestyle Cuisine, which caters for common dietary requests such as lowfat, vegetarian and low-carbohydrate.
