Help is at hand for people bored with chores

Ever feel like there are not enough hours in the day to get things done?

New company Endless Errands aims to help by carrying out your chores.

Picking up the dry-cleaning, babysitting the kids and even arranging romantic dinner dates on the beach are just three of the services the firm offers to “make people’s lives easier”.

Launched by newlyweds Nolan Brown and Sheena Furbert-Brown earlier this year, the company vows to do any household task at reasonable prices.

Ms Furbert-Brown said: “I started the company based on my own experiences in the past as a single parent and seeing the need of parents for some help.

“Even if it’s something as simple having someone there to watch the kids for an hour, it can make a huge difference to someone who doesn’t have a lot of time of their hands.

“For many people there is not enough time in the day to get all the things done.”

Endless Errands has three full-time members of staff, including Ms Furbert-Brown.

She believes her experience as a mom of two has prepared her well for the role.

She said: “If you have kids, you have to know how to clean your house.

“Our ‘training’ is based on our life experience.

“Family units are not as supportive as they were a generation ago and neighbours aren’t as quick to lend a hand.”

Ms Furbert-Brown said business is going well and their most common booking is seniors looking for companionship or someone to run odd jobs.

She added: “Our business is for everyone — from professionals who want you to pick up their lunch and deliver it to their office to people who need their apartment cleaned.

“I definitely see services like ours becoming a trend.

“In 10 years time I see our business booming because people will always have children and the senior population is growing.”

Other services offered by Endless Errands include creating PowerPoint presentations, dog walking, booking travel arrangements, delivering parcels and take-out food, and wedding and party planning.

Romantic

For the latter they will provide party supplies, set up the venue, assist with entertainment, provide games and take care of the dreaded clean-up at the end of the night.

A fun service is the Mr. Romantic themed dates package.

It’s for “guys who want to spoil their lady but perhaps don’t know what to do.” Prices vary and dates range from outdoor picnics, moonlight drinks on the beach to a hotel room with the bed adorned by rose petals and a personalised love note.

Ms Furbert-Brown said: “The options are endless.

“We won’t be there when she arrives so the guy can take the credit — unless he wants us there to serve the food, of course.

“It’s very important for couples to have alone time to keep that spark in their marriage.

“People don’t spend enough quality time together, which is why the divorce rate is so high.

“Time constraints or lack of creativity should not stand in the way of you loving your significant other the proper and considerate way.
