Ask the coach
Giving away games
A: One of the problems a lot of people have is that they think it's over before it's really over.
It's easy at 5-2 or 5-3 up to start preparing your comments for the media, to start thinking about your acceptance speech.
Keep in mind that some people play their best tennis when they're behind, so don't relax just because you're close.
Stay focused and remember you haven't won yet. Just play one point at a time and use your strengths.
You must be doing something right if you're ahead, so remember what strategy you used to get there and stick with it.
Other racket sports
Q: Does playing other racket sports like squash or badminton hurt my tennis?
A: There is a plus and a minus with this situation. The plus is that these other sports can help you to watch the point of contact, assist you with your fitness level and generally hone your eye for a ball.
The minus side is these sports require you to use a lot of wrist movement, which may work against technique being taught to you by your tennis coach. n[[In-content Ad]]
