Four teams battle for play-offs
Frontier 7, Hit n Sit 6
Frontier helped boost their chances of making an initial playoff appearance, dropping rival Hit n Sit by 7-6 with a walk-off homerun. Troy Dort drove in two runs for Frontier, including the deciding run. Darren Green homered twice to drive in four in defeat.
Hit n Sit 23, A.F. Smith 8
Hit n Sit came out flying in their next game, stampeding AF Smith for a 23-8 win.
Matthew O'Connell pounded out seven hits, including two homeruns, to drive in five runs.
Ron Renton added five hits in the win.
Wendell Boom hit three times and drove in three runs in the loss.
E&Y 13, A.F. Smith 1
E&Y scored six runs in the sixth inning as they crushed AF Smith by 13-1. Jon Gazzard and Mike Fox each drove in two runs to pace E&Y, while Joe Barroso added three hits. Dustin Archibald brought home the lone run for AF Smith.
E&Y 4, Island Construction 3
E&Y edged Island Construction by 4-3, scoring three times in the fourth inning and holding on against two late inning rallies in a low scoring thriller. Sam Peters and Art Palmer each had two hits for E&Y. Jermaine Jeffers collected two hits and drove in a run for Island.
Tuff Dogs 6, Frontier 3
Tuff Dogs edged Frontier by 6-3 to remain undefeated on the season. Justin Barritt drove in three runs to lead the pack. Gerald Simons chipped in three hits for Frontier. n
