Financial Assistance to become more efficient

SATURDAY, JULY 7: Those people needing help from the Department of Financial Assistance may have to wait an extra week.

The Department said emergency cases will still be dealt with and it will still accept application documents and make some consultations but financial assistance workers and managers will be engaged in training on a new computer system, which will increase efficiency and ensure greater risk management. 

This will take place from Monday, July 9 to Friday, July 13.

The reception desk will be manned.  However, service will be limited.

It is asking its current clients to make appointments to see their financial assistance workers beginning the week of July 16.
