THURSDAY, AUGUST 2: Hundreds of Bermudians have taken over Horseshoe Bay today.

The Chewstick Foundation's BeachFest has attracted dozens of people to the beach for the first day of Cup Match.

DJs are playing music alongside a football tournament, limbo competition, tug of war and more.

People have set up tents for the festivities of the day. There is even a special visitors' tent for tourists.

The event is expected to continue past sunset.

It began last night with performances by Wayne Wonder, Dead Prez and Trevor Hall.

The day has been peaceful so far with police patrolling the beach.[[In-content Ad]]
