Expat professionals 'at risk of exploitation'
George Scott, chief union organiser, said more professionals from developing countries were being hired to do jobs in the island’s insurance and reinsurance industry.
He said: “They are definitely being paid less than equivalents from elsewhere because what they earn is based on what they could earn in their homelands. It is exploitation and our position is that everyone should be paid the going rate for the job in Bermuda.”[[In-content Ad]]
