The site lists up-to-date information about what is happening across the island — from plays and movie listings to booze cruises, family fun days, concerts and charity auctions.
It caters for all ages, tastes and venues and has soared in popularity since launching in March 2010.
Its Facebook page accepted its 2,000th friend over the weekend and has won its fanbase mainly through word-of-mouth.
This huge band of followers does not count Twitter followers or those who subscribe to e-mail updates or the site’s RSS feed.
Bored
The site was founded and is run in her spare time by Claire Hattie, who works full-time in the financial services industry.
The 31-year-old, who moved to the island five years ago from Scotland, was inspired after hearing people complain they were bored.
The site gathered 50 friends within just a few days of its launch.
Ms Hattie said: “Some of my friends were complaining that there is nothing to do in Bermuda.
“I am from a small town where there is literally nothing to do, so I found that ridiculous.
“I got on my high horse and told everyone there was loads to do here and that I would prove it by sending an e-mail listing everything to them all the next day.
Researching
“This was pretty well received so I started doing it regularly, sending e-mails around once a week.
“Through word-of-mouth, the distribution list grew.
“I have been sending these
e-mails for about four years.
“It takes quite a bit of time researching what Bermuda events are coming up, since there isn’t really one place where it is all together, so I thought that since I’m doing all that work anyway, I may as well share it with more people.
“Bermuda is not like a big city where you can wander around and wait for things to happen to you.
“There is a lot to do here — you just need to look for it. I’m never bored anyway.”
