East end trash collection interrupted
TUESDAY, JULY 6: The Ministry of Works and Engineering advises that there has been an interruption in residential waste collection in the EASTERN zones today. As a result of a breakdown at the Tynes Bay Waste-to-Energy Facility, approximately two thirds of the eastern waste will be collected today, Tuesday, July 6. Waste not collected today will be collected tomorrow, Wednesday, July 7.
Residents in EASTERN ZONES are advised to retrieve waste not collected today and to store in a secure location on their property, and then set it out tomorrow before 7:30 a.m. for collection. The public can also take waste directly to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-off Facility on Palmetto Road, Devonshire which is open daily from 7:00 am. to 7:00 p.m.
The Ministry of Works and Engineering apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this interruption of service.
