Cricket team announced for Namibia tour
The Bermuda Cricket Board announced the 14-man squad, which will take part in the ICC I-shield Tournament Tour onMarch 23 to April 12.
On the team are: David Hemp (captain), Stephen Outerbridge (vice captain), Jekon Edness, Stefan Kelly, Irving Romaine, Rodney Trott, Fiqre Crockwell, Chris Foggo, Jordan DeSilva, Justin Pitcher, Malachi Jones, Shannon Rayner, Ryan Steede and Jim West.
Regino Smith, Kevin Tucker, David Lovell and Joshua Gilbert are on standby in case of injuries or other emergencies.
BCB president Reggie Pearman said he hopes that coach David Moore will be able to be with the team on the tour.
Pearman said: "I am pleased to be able to confirm that David Moore has received his work permit and hopes to be able to join the team for the tour. I know the boys have been putting their all into training and I am confident they will do their best."
Lionel Thomas, chairman of the selection committee, said: "The team selection was based on attendance, ability and availability. We know it is not our strongest team due to withdrawals for personal reasons from some players and school commitments, but we are cautiously optimistic that the team selected will equip themselves admirably."
The team's management will include: David Moore (coach) Andre Manders (assistant coach) Lionel Tannock (team manager) Lorenzo Tucker (match manager) and Craig Brown (physio).
