FRIDAY, JULY 20: CellOne yesterday launched an online version of the popular Crown & Anchor Game on Facebook.

A first of its kind in Bermuda, the game application enables players to pick their favourite team, Somerset or St. George's, earn points and win great prizes, including free local service for a year.

"We know how much the Cup Match season means to all of Bermuda. Whether you are locally based or just visiting, the festivities are an endless source of fun,” said Rob McNabb, CellOne's director of marketing.

“As a long time supporter of Cup Match, CellOne wanted to create additional buzz around the event so we created a Facebook version of the popular Crown and Anchor Game. The goal of our online version is to build as many virtual points as possible for either Somerset or St. George's over a 2 week period. The more each player wins for their supported team, the better their own chances of winning prizes for themselves!"

To get started is easy. Log on to Facebook from your desktop or laptop computer. Go to the 'CellOne Bermuda' page and click 'Like'. This gives you access to the Crown & Anchor app and you're ready to go. Even if you've never played the game before, the online instructions will take walk you through the steps.

"We're really excited to offer great prizing to go along with the game," said Mr McNabb. "For daily winners, we've got the perfect summertime accessories like beach umbrellas, towels and beach balls. Weekly winners will receive one of our 'Heavy-Hitter' Smartphones currently on promotion. Not to mention, our grand prize winner will receive a full year's worth of free local service! A huge value worth thousands of dollars.”
