Dear Sir,

Between August 1969 and October 1970, I was an Assistant Greenkeeper at Mid Ocean Club, Bermuda.

At the time a Mr. Cyril Wainwright was caddiemaster.

In June 2007 my wife and I intend to visit Bemuda for a short stay at the Fairmont Hotel, Hamilton. I have attempted through the Internet to trace Mr Wainright in order for us to meet, obviously if he was willing. I had many enjoyable rounds of golf with Cyril, it would be nice to meet up with him if only briefly.

I ask would it be possible for your newspaper to publish a small item and if successful forward details to me.

I hope you don't think me imposing, but this will be a one and only return visit, which we are both looking forward to.
