Bus drivers to meet Monday morning (Update 1)
The drivers and all allied workers have been called to attend the meeting at 10:30am at the Bermuda Industrial Union headquarters on Union Street. It was originally scheduled for 7pm.
The new time has the potential to be more disruptive to commuters,
A flyer for the meeting did not say specifically what the meeting was about, but the union has a dispute with the Department of Public Transportation over a bus driver who was involved in a minor accident seven weeks ago.
The woman was suspended and Union bosses say the Department Of Public Transportation failed to follow the correct testing procedure.
But a DPT spokesman said the bus driver had repeatedly refused to take the test. He said she also failed to report the accident straight away.[[In-content Ad]]
