Bruce signs on with Conyers in Bermuda
TUESDAY, JANUARY 22: Conyers Dill & Pearman announced on Monday that Nicola Bruce, an experienced trusts and private client lawyer, has joined the firm’s Bermuda office following six years of experience practising in London.
Alex Anderson, Conyers’ global head of Trust & Private Client, said in a press release: “Nicola is a welcome addition to our prominent Trust & Private Client group.
“Her expertise, particularly in the area of pension trust funds, further strengthens Conyers’ comprehensive private client service offering.”
A spokesperson for Convers said Ms Bruce brings with her valuable experience, including advising on trust law, estate planning, trustee duties, trustee liability, pension law, pension tax issues, contracts between trustees and third-party service providers, trust disputes and good trust governance. Throughout her career, she has advised a number of pension trust funds with significant assets. Her client base includes the pension trust funds of international banks and insurance companies, charities and multinational manufacturing groups.
Over the past year, Conyers has added a number of leading professionals to advise on the laws of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Mauritius as it reaches out to its client base on a global basis.
