Big innings turn losers into winners this week
Sea Venture also put up a big third inning, scoring 13 runs en route to a 27-11 win over E&Y in another high scoring game. Chris Montgomery (4/6) knocked in five runs to lead all batters, while Mark Herauf (3/5) brought in four.
Tuff Dogs scored 14 times in the sixth inning to pull ahead, grounding Travel Connection Jets by a final of 31-20. Bradley Barton (5/6, 6 RBI) homered twice and Kenrick Richardson (3 RBI) added four hits to the attack. Jermaine Jeffers (5/5, 9 RBI) hit three homeruns, including a pair of grand slams, to lead the Jets.
BEST Shipping scored seven runs in the fifth to pull out a 13-8 win over Killer Goldfish. Scott Doughty and Steven Sousa hit two-run homeruns for BEST. Ryan Davidge collected three hits in the loss.
JLT Taipans posted seven runs in the fourth inning, as they edged Bermy Lush Kiskadees by a final score of 17-14. Bob Hansberry (3/3, 5 RBI) homered twice and Sam Adams (3/4) drove in three runs for JLT. Shay Furbert (4/4) tripled home three runners for Bermy Lush.
TBI opened with eight runs, then added four in the final inning to secure a 16-13 win over BNY. Victor Fishington (2 RBI) doubled twice while Jamie Roberts (2 RBI) collected three hits to lead TBI.
BNY emerged victorious in the second game of the night, benefiting from 17 walks as they swept past PwC Onions by 20-13. Oliver Nolan drove in five runs and Denise Berry brought in three for BNY, who saw nine batters out of ten receive at least one free pass. Chris French (3/4) drove in three runs for PwC.
Hammer-heads found success in their inaugural game, scoring a dozen runs in the first to soar past MCS by 27-7. Josh Strang (3/4, 5 RBI) cracked two homers and Mark Devart (3/3, 3 RBI) added a third for the Hammers.[[In-content Ad]]
