Best chills Arctic in mercy win

BEST Shipping came out hot against Arctic Airconditioning to take a 24-9 win. Scott Doughty overcame his own wildness on the mound, giving up only a single hit but walking eight batters, including six in a row in the second inning as Arctic piled up all nine runs. Romar Douglas hit a two-run homerun and Lianne Leonardi doubled home three runs to lead BEST to victory.

Olympia Capital scored five times in the fifth inning to edge BISYS by 15-12. Peter Liabotis drove in four runs and Kent Turner added three hits for Olympia. Sebastian Huot and Bryce Hamilton each slammed a three-run home run during a six-run third inning for BISYS.

Aspen Insurance scored three runs in the sixth inning, but it was not enough as they fell 8-5 to Arch. James Goff drove in three runs for Arch, while Sal Bartoletti added two. Vic Baillargeon and Terry Falkenberry each drove in two runs for Aspen.

TPC Tee's scored eight runs in the opening frame, then added nine in the sixth to crush LOM Bombers by 18-3.

In the Ladies' Division, Café Cairo scored nine runs early in the game and held on to defeat International Stars by 9-6. Keishae Robinson doubled in two runs in the opening frame and Sarah Robinson added a pair of RBIs. Wendy Smith collected a pair of hits for the Stars.

The Comets scored five times in the sixth inning to pull out a 15-14 comeback win over Swizzlin Sluggers. Joan Chang started off the rally with a two-run homerun, and Gianna Mitchell added a two-run single later in the frame. Kelly Madeiros tripled twice and drove in six runs for the Sluggers.

P&M Electri-Cute stomped Eacy Girlz by 24-1 in the nightcap game, blowing the game open with a dozen runs in the sixth inning. Carla Zuill and Tina Robson combined for nine hits, including five triples, to drive in eight runs. Amy Renton doubled in the lone run in the loss.[[In-content Ad]]
