Bermuda wins in England
FRIDAY, AUGUST 24: Bermuda’s Under-15 cricket team picked up its first victory on its England tour when it won by five wickets over Richmond.
The Under-13s beat Richmond CC. Chasing 77, Bermuda passed Richmond two down from 13 overs.
Both teams have four more matches scheduled between Friday and August 31.
Earlier the Under-15s lost by seven wickets to Kimberley Institute.
In that match, opener Davin Dill had an unbeaten 67. Captain Alex Dore had 21 while Antoine Seaman (18) and Christian Gibbons (19) also reached double figures.
Chare Smith had the best bowling figures for Bermuda taking 2-37 in seven overs while Nzori Paynter was 1-31.
Meanwhile, in Barbados, Joshua Gilbert and Kamau Leverock are part of the ICC Americas Team, which is compromised of players from Bermuda, US, Canada, Bahamas and Cayman., competing in the West Indies Cricket Board’s Under-19 Tournament.
Tropical Storm
Matches for the past two days have been affected by rain from Tropical Storm Isaac. Wednesday’s match against Leeward Islands was reduced to 31 overs and produced a no result.
No matches are scheduled for Friday with the ICC Americas next game slated against the Windward islands.
