C Division

Bermuda Water Tours 20, CITI 17

A sixth inning grand slam by Ryan Barnes (3-4) helped Water Tours overcome an early nine-run deficit. Teammate Andy Schwagal was 4-4 and drove home three runs while leftfielder Marco Almeida was 4-5.

Neil MacGuinness was 4-5 with a homer for CITI. Leadoff man Antonio Frias set the table by going 4-4 with a walk and scoring four times.

Water Tours 19, BNY 17

Barnes again played the hero for Bermuda Water Tours as he clubbed another homer and was 5-5 at the plate. Leadoff batter Mark Pacheco (4-5) had two homers and 7 ribbies for BWT. John Pitcher (4-5) and Paul Thorne (4-4) were BNY's top batters.

KPMG 17, BNY 15

Paul Thorne (3-5) helped spark a furious late rally for CITI with a two-run double, but the club still fell short. Thorne's teammates, John Thorne and Troy Pitcher, were both 4-5.

KPMG scored six in the first and six in the fifth to help give them enough cushion for the victory. Tan Fitzgerald (5-5) hit a two-run homer in the first for the victors and Matt Mahor (4-5) followed with a solo shot in the third.

Bermuda Blueprinting 19, PWC 18

Chris Osbourne (4-6) supplied the power as he hit a last inning grand slam to lift Bermuda Blueprinting to the win. David Gibbons (6-6) put on a hitting clinic for the winners as he scored four times and teammate Jason Ming was 3-4.

PWC scored eight times in the first and seven in the fifth but did little else. Aimee Dubt was 3-4 in the losing cause while Scott Wheeler was 4-4.

Each Hit 2, Island Glass 14

Dylan and Edward DeSilva sparked Island Glass to the 12-run win as both had three hits for the winners. Paul Martin (3-4) and Donnie Moniz (2-5, 3 RBI) also contributed.

Jose Pena, Sarah Mentzel, Chris Walton and Crystal Anderson had two hits each for Each Hit.

Women

EZ Grlz 3, Café Cairo 21

A 14-run third inning helped bring this contest to an early end. Café Cairo took advantage of Grlz pitching woes as they were gifted 15 walks, 12 of them in the fateful third inning. Cairo won the game despite getting just seven hits as Akanke Parsons, Tawane Lee and Catherine Vu had two each. Lee had a homer as one of her hits.

Grlz had 10 hits with both Dianne Laird and Melissa DaPonte going 3-3.

Lady Stars 3,

P & M Electicutes 18

Electicutes put up an eight-spot in the sixth to end this game on the mercy rule. Carla Zuill was 4-5 with 3 RBI, while Stephanie Rego, Diane Blais and Jenn Dziwenka were 3-5.

Cassandro Trott (3-3) was the only Lady Star with more than one hit.[[In-content Ad]]
