Bermuda Realty gives out long service awards

FRIDAY, JAN. 18: The Bermuda Realty Company honoured 70 years of service by its employees recently.

The company, which trade as Coldwell Banker Bermuda Realty, recognized six staff members for long service with the local real estate services company in 2012. Recipients represented several different service areas within the Company, including corporate administration, accounts, sales, and land survey.

Brian Madeiros, president and CEO of Bermuda Realty, said presented awards to Matthew Ringer (5 years), Ed Williams (5 years), Jason Smith (5 years), Reggie Fleming (15 years), Jennifer Sims (20 years) and Winifred Peniston (25 years).

 Mr Madeiros said in a press release: “We are very proud of all that our employees have accomplished in their time with Bermuda Realty” he said “and we hope that they will continue to thrive in their current positions for years to come.”

 Special recognition was offered to Ms Peniston, who is the senior accountant.  She has committed 25 years to employment with the leading real estate company.  In 1987 she joined the accounts team at Jones Waddington Ltd and played an integral role in the integration of the Coldwell Banker systems in 1998. Promoted to corporate controller in 2001 when the company merged with Bermuda Realty Company Limited, Ms. Peniston served in this position through the company’s significant growth period; moving to her current position in 2010. Winifred also holds her Real Estate Salesperson’s License and has passed her Real Estate Broker’s examination.
