Barracuda reel in Marlins

Barracuda beat the Marlins 3-1 to move into a tie a top of the Fishbowl League at Warwick Lanes. The two sides will roll off again this week in a position round.

Tuna took all four points from Hinds in the league's only whitewash. Orca came close in beating Dolphins 3.5 to 0.5 but both teams rolled a 793 first game.

Other scores saw piranhas beat goldfish 2.5 to 1.5, Cow Pollies and Mackerel draw 2-2, Jellyfish down Snappers 3-1 and Wahoo reeled in Porgies by the same score.

Patrice Tucker led all the ladies with a 214 Scratch game. Cathee Tumbridge (202) also rolled a 200. Sandra Ford barely missed out with a 196, but she did have the high handicap series with a 645 besting Tumbridge's 633 and Tucker's 618.

Brian Hollis had the high scratch game with a 248. Also topping 200 were Clifford Maxwell (214), William Steede (206) and Kalvin Simmons (205). Simmon and Robert Moniz tied for the high handicap series with a 663. Maxwell (654), Lee Van Lowe (653) and Steede (650) also rolled well throughout the night.

Hunt’s Men’s League

Haagen-Daz put the Freeze on New Mix Ups to wipe up the lanes with a 25.5 to 4.5 victory.

Other scores saw Team Metro beat Meyer Franklin 17-13; Phones Plus disconnected Team Electric 19-11; BAR Ltd beat PC Parts 18-12 and Matthias Painting hammer Magnum Force 23-7.
