Ball debuts for BDA
Ball and Lopes placed fourth in the overall competition.
Ball riding in her first international competition had a fall in round one, however, finished the competition with a stellar three clear rounds out of four.
Coach and team manager McKeisha Smith said: "Both riders rode very well and I was extremely pleased with Hayley's performance.
"She had a tough week leading up to the event where she was lacking confidence. Nevertheless, she rode some of the best jumping rounds of the competition and I am very proud of her."
Lopes, the veteran CEA rider, had a tough weekend, yet finished up with the fastest clear round in round four to take top honours in that part of the competition.
The first leg of the CEA was won by Jamaica, Trinidad was second, and hosts Barbados third.
On March 20 and 21, Lopes will travel to the second CEA leg for Bermuda to the Grand Cayman Islands.
Lopes will be accompanied by another rider who will be making her international debut, Julia Lines.
Lines who rides out of Spiceland's Riding Centre won the CEA trials two weeks ago and she is looking forward to the competition.
She will ride in the 14 & under age group while Lopes will ride in the 16 & under age group.
This competition tests the riders' skills as they ride local horses and only have five minutes to get used to them.
Bermuda will compete against host country Cayman, Jamaica and Trinidad.
The BEF wishes both riders much success in Cayman.
The Bermuda leg of the competition will be held on May 8th and 9th, 2010 and will play host to Barbados, Cayman, and Jamaica.
