WEDNESDAY, OCT. 31: Bacardi Limited has reached Gold Level accreditation status from Investors in People.
It is the first Bermuda company to do so and is now part of the top 1 per cent of UK organisations recognised by Investors in People. Don Mackenzie, managing partner of Management Solutions Ltd, which holds the licence for Investors in People Bermuda, said in a press release: “We are very excited to award the highest official Investors in People standard to Bacardi Limited as the company sets the bar high for its commitment to its people.
“With the support of an implementation team led by director of human resources, Mrs. Alana Rogers, Bacardi continued to implement best practices that ultimately led it to achieve the Gold accreditation in July 2012.
To achieve standard accreditation, organisations are measured against 39 evidence requirements.
To achieve Gold level accreditation, an organisation must successfully meet 165 evidence points in its business strategy, learning and development, leadership and management, reward and recognition and performance management.
Mrs Rogers said: “In July of this year, Bacardi underwent a formal assessment by Investors in People.
“The objective was to assess the Bacardi position against an advanced level of Investors in People accreditation and to identify areas of continuous improvement and development moving forward.
“It was an intense, yet rewarding experience.”
“This is not a surface level exercise, nor is it about the recognition,” said Mr. Ed Shirley, president and CEO of Bacardi. “The Investors in People journey requires buy-in, commitment and continuous focus throughout every level of the organisation over the long-term. I am extremely proud of the entire team.”
