Authorities investigating mysterious beached structure

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29: An unknown structure washed up on Horseshoe Bay Beach over the weekend.

Authorities at the Department of Airport Operations are investigating the structure after a member of the public discovered it on Sunday.

The Parks Department delivered it to Airport Operations yesterday morning.

While it is unclear what the structure actually is, authorities are looking into it and have taken measurements.

Wendall Burchall, manager of maintenance and engineering, said: “I can’t speculate what it is because you can’t until you do the full investigation and get the details.”
