AG should resign over lawyer comments
The legal community must be ashamed and embarrassed to have witnessed the ranting of our Attorney General, Mr. Phil Perinchief, at our departing Governor Sir John
Vereker.
Obviously, holding one of the highest legal appointments on the Island means nothing when it comes to professional decorum and plain ol' simple manners.
His comments that the Governor acted reprehensibly and that lawyer Mr. Tim Marshall found his way to success through some special privilege are deplorable and [he should] retract those comments and resign from his post.
If the AG is so hellbent on chastising anyone whose views on the draft copy of the Workforce Equity Act 2007 might differ from his own, why wasn't Finance Minister Paula Cox in his sights?
If my memory serves me correctly, she also spoke publicly about the Act's unconstitutional drift.
It appears to many watching this entire saga that our AG is blinded by the facts.
The position of Attorney General deserves better representation.
Bermudians don't need this kind of drama for it only detracts from finding real solutions to the issues facing us.
This is politics at its worse and Bermuda deserves better.
