The Roaring 20 is a student run group of singers began touring sites last week including the Waterlot Inn, Jasmine Lounge and Harley’s restaurant.
The Roaring 20 have been entertaining audiences with what they describe as their “sweet sound” since 1983. The original group was all-male and jazzcentric, but as the group evolved it started covering many genres and its members are now mixed sex. The group’s active repertoire still includes the jazz standards of Duke Ellington and George Gershwin but the Roaring 20 performs songs made popular by artists such as Snow Patrol, Leona Lewis, and The Beatles.
The 20 student members of the a cappella group whose members arrange their own music, run the rehearsals, plan the tours and produce the group’s albums.
