Arctic slipped past BEST in a 30 to 29 in a game marred by a protest and with both sides recording less hits than runs scored. Arctic took advantage of the generosity of BEST's pitching, which walked 20 batters. Arctic only managed 16 hits with Shan Hill going 4-4 with 5 RBI and Robbie Dickenson knocking in seven on a 4-5 performance.

Martin DeSilva, Chris Hirst and Tina Rowse each walked four times for BEST.

BEST took advantage of several Arctic errors to pile up their runs. Paulo Arruda (4-5), Nelson Arruda (3-4) and David Wagner (3-3) were BEST's top hitters.

BF&M 9, Montpelier Re 7

Donny Moniz (3-3) hit two homers and knocked in six tuns as BF&M beat Montpelier Re 9-7. The only other BF&M batter to have more than one hit was Chris DeSousa (2-3).

Michael Kress (3-4) and Chris Jackson were the best hitters for Montpelier Re.

Montpelier Re 14, BEST 5

It was a bad week for BEST as they couldn't get anything going against Montpelier. This game was fairly close until Montpelier scored eight runs in the last wto innings to pull away. David Sinnott (2-2) homered and drove in five in the win. Team-mates Steve Larson and Dave Allison were both 3-4. Andrew Holmes was 4-4 for BEST.

SVOS 21, Panthers 6

Sea Venture scored 16 times in the first inning on their way to routing Panthers 21 to 6. SVOS blew through its four homers in the first as Terence Corday (3-4), Deon Bell (3-4), Mark Herauf (3-4) and Chris Coleman (3-4) all hit one out. Preston Mallory, Garic Swainson and Jason Ming were all 2-3 with a homer for Panthers.

E&Y 32, Beach Boyz 13

Not to be outdone by Sea Venture, Ernst & Young batted around twice in the first inning as they posted 18 runs in an easy 31 to 13 victory.

Jeff Edy (4 RBI), Kean Driscoll (2 HR, 6 RBI) and Jeff Jane (HR 4 runs) were all 6-6 for Ernst as Ernst banged out 46 hits. Joe Miceli (3-4 HR), Darren Green (3-4) and Chad Cundliffe (3-4) were the top hitters for the Boyz.

Tuff Dogs 23, A.F. Smith 4

Hywel Brown (4-4) drove in five runs as Tuff Dogs had little trouble filing a win against A.F. Smith. Brown, Bradley Barton (4-4, HR) and Lovintz Tota (2-4) homered for the winners while Carl Seymour (2-3, HR, 3 RBI) was the big bat for A.F. Smith. Marcus Flannery was 4-4 for Smith, but it was inconsequential as he didn't score or drive in any runs.[[In-content Ad]]
