Reversal of fortune as Double Trouble take Commercial lead

Cubs added to their odds of winning the Freisenbruch-Meyer Continental Bowling League when they defeated second place team Quickie Lickie Laundry 19.5 to 10.5. 

The victory left them 40.5 points ahead of their rivals.

Alfred Wright missed out on a perfect game but came close with a 280. Wright ended up with a 663 series for his spectacular efforts. Anthony Smith was one pin back at 662. Renalda Bean had the third high series with a 642, 

Mike Lambe had the second high game with a 253 while Sheldon Thompson rolled a 249.

Rochelle Harvey bowled a 225 game on her way to a 620 series. Patrice Tucker had the second high series for a woman with a 575 while June Pitt rolled a 559.

Juliette Smith’s 214 game was barely enough to edge Patrice Tucker and Marj Armstrong by one pin.

Double Trouble reversed the standings on Sweet Life when they beat them 3-1. Trouble is now in first with Sweet Life in second.

Wendell Smith had the men’s high scratch game with a 221. Also rolling 200s were Quinton Perinchief (211) and Dennis Joell 209.

Sharon Gibson had the high game for a woman with a 193. Charmain Smith rolled a 189 while Doreen Smith bowled a 187.

Doreen Smith had the high handicap series with a 637 followed by Sandra Ford’s 623 and Charmain Smith’s 613.

Carl Durrant rolled the men’s high handicap series with a 646 with Wendell Smith just four pins back. Wayne Raynor bowled a 636.

Mini Max Forwarders rolled over Fight Back 18 to 2 to increase its league lead. 

George Ben had the high game with a 256 with Anthony Hayward rolling a 253 and Anthony Smith a 234.

Hayward didn’t consider it a bad omen that he bowled a 666 as he had the high series. Ben’s 657 was second and Miles Smith with a 633 for the third high series.

Patrice Tucker used a 238 game as the foundation for her 623. Myrna Outerbridge rolled a 225 on her way to a 551. Edna-Mae Tuzo (219) and Laura Simons (553) also made the honours list.
