FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 12PM UPDATE: Some passengers could not be rebooked because there wasn't sufficient seat availability on other carriers.
However, American says it will fly two planes to Miami on Saturday morning to help clear the backlog of passengers.
The first of two Miami flights will depart at 7am Saturday. The second flight will depart at its regularly scheduled time.
11AM UPDATE: Passengers are now off the plane and have their bags back. They’re in a long rebooking line.
The airline has said that they can get everyone out later today using other carriers.
Flight AA 1325 to Miami is cancelled.
The flight returned to the gate just minutes before takeoff because the de-icing equipment wasn't working properly.
The flight will be grounded until a part can be flown in from Tulsa, according to the captain. Passengers can't de-plane at the moment because apparently there aren't enough Bermuda Customs officers to re-clear them into Bermuda.
Passengers have been on board for almost two hours.
