You don’t have to cook on Christmas Day
With Christmas just days away, food, drink and presents are guaranteed to be on everyone’s mind.
Our mouths start to water thinking about the turkey, the ham, the cassava pie and all the sides. And don’t forget the wine and the specialty cocktails.
But what if you can’t cook or even worse, your mom can’t cook. And what if you can cook, but have no desire to be in the kitchen for hours to create a feast. Not to worry. We have it all covered for you. Here are a plethora of options to have a wonderful meal on Christmas Day.
If you don’t want to do the cooking but want to eat at home, the Fairmont Southampton has a Turkeys-to-Go programme where you can order your whole meal and pick it up on Christmas Day.
From turkey, ham, beef, cassava pie, stuffing, potatoes and desserts, they have you covered. Prices start at $365 for a full Christmas dinner for eight.

The Point is doing a similar take-out programme with turkey, stuffing, ham, cassava pie, mashed potatoes and more for $75 per person. Orders must be in by noon today. Call 298-4070.
If you want to eat out, the Fairmont Southampton has a few options for you.
Christmas Day traditional brunch will be held at Windows on the Sound from 10:30am to 3pm. The menu includes your favourite brunch items such as omelettes and waffles along with traditional Christmas items and holiday goodies. Brunch is $59 per person.
If you prefer something classic and fancy, head down to The Waterlot Inn from 6pm to 10pm for a festive multi-course dinner with all the trimmings including lobster salad, Dark & Stormy sorbet, Christmas turkey, salmon wellington, prime rib and more. Dinner is $85 per person.
The Newport, a Gastropub will host a Christmas Day dinner from 6pm to 11pm for. The three-course menu includes butternut squash soup, scallops, venison, snapper and bouche de noel.
Grotto Bay is hosting a Christmas champagne brunch from noon until 4pm for $55 per adult and $27 per child between five and 12. The menu includes soups, salads, a carving station, a variety of sides and a dessert station.
Fourways will host a special Christmas brunch with ice sculptures, oyster buffet, crab legs and many more specials for the holidays. Brunch is $67.75 per person and it will be held from 11am to 2:30pm.
A special Christmas buffet will be held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess from 11:30am to 3:30pm or from 6pm to 9pm. The buffet is $59 per person and half price for children aged five to 12. It features soups, salads, a seafood display, carvery, fresh fish station, a kids’ buffet, dessert extravaganza and more.
Beau Rivage is offering a Christmas lunch and dinner menu. The lunch is three courses and will be held from 11:30am to 3pm for $55 a person. The dinner portion is $85 per person from 6:30pm to 9:30pm with four courses.
Lido will host an international brunch on Christmas Day from 11:30am with the last seating at 7:30pm. The cost is $75 per person and $38 per child under the age of ten.
The Point’s Christmas lunch will start at noon with cocktails on the terrace followed by lunch at 1pm. Adults are $135 and children are $65, all inclusive of gratuities and beverages. n
