Miss Bermuda Katie Arnfield spent yesterday getting pampered from head to toe as she prepared to leave for the Miss World pageant in Indonesia.
Courtesy of the team at Inner Sanctum, on Front Street (west), she was given facials, a manicure and pedicure and hairstyling.
The 17-year-old flies out to London this evening and will head to Dubai, Kuala Lumpa, Bali and Jakarta where the Miss World finals will take place on September 28.
‘I’ll do my best’
Miss Arnfield told us: “I’m looking forward to meeting new people because I love making memories. It is a new experience and I’m going to try to make the most of it.
“There are 130 girls and they are a lot older than me and have had a lot more experience but I am going to try my hardest.”
AS Cooper supplied Miss Bermuda with some 30 outfits to wear throughout her trip and IMA Models’ Diane Whittaker has been her training coach.
“Diane told me to imagine winning and to get into that mindset,” Ms Arnfield said. “She told me to try hardest and be confident and positive. Milika (Trott-Seymour) and the Miss Bermuda organization have been great too, they have been managing me.”
