A total of eight people appeared in court today charged in connection with drugs offences involving nearly $6 million worth of cannabls.
Iman Gibbons, Corte Gibbons, Shannon Trott, Damon Edwards, Brian Anderson, Dina Tucker, John Vernell Bernell Jefferies and Darrin Virgil are all accused of conspiring to supply cannabis between an unknown date and November 26 last year.
Iman Gibbons, Corte Gibbons, Edwards and Jefferies are further charged with conspiring with others to import cannabis between an unknown date and November 26 last year.
Iman Gibbons, Corte Gibbons and Trott are further charged with allowing the use of cannabis at a house in Lighthouse Lane, Southampton.
The court heard that the charges involve 120 kg of the drug, with an estimated value of $5.9 million.
The defendants were not required to enter pleas as the case will be heard in Supreme Court.
Magistrate Archie Warner released all the defendants on bail of $100,000 and ordered them to surrender their passports pending a further appearance in Magistrates’ Court on September 27.
