Police searching for 'Marlboro Bandit'

Around 10:30am on Wednesday, August 28th police officers responded to a report of an unknown male stealing two cartons of Marlboro cigarettes from Onion Jack’s Trading Post on Front Street in the City of Hamilton.

The suspect appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s and is further described as brown complexioned with no facial hair, tall of slim build wearing a white T-shirt, light coloured long pants, a helmet and sunglasses.

 He fled the scene on a nearby motorcycle heading east along Front Street. The sales clerk was not injured.

 Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Denise Downey on 295-0011.

Cannabis plants seized

On Wednesday, August 28th police officers executed a search warrant at a Spice Hill Road, Warwick residence and seized 14 cannabis plants. A 32 year old Warwick man was arrested in connection with the matter and subsequently released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Man arrested

On Tuesday, August 27th police officers executed a search warrant at an Old Maid’s Lane, St. George’s residence and seized a quantity of the suspected controlled drug heroin. A 28 year old St. George’s man was arrested in connection with the matter and subsequently released on police bail pending further inquiries.
