A documentary about the young English surgeon Karen Woo is being shown on the anniversary of her murder. The touching film tells the story of Woo during her time working in Afghanistan where she met her fiancé.
Woo, who was also a ballet dancer, was targeted in an attack against foreign aid workers.
The Life and Loss of Karen Woo screens at the Bermuda National Library tomorrow from 11am and 2pm.
To carry on Karen’s work, her fiancé and her family have set up The Karen Woo Foundation, a grant-giving Charity, focusing on supporting projects in Afghanistan which provide healthcare to communities which have little or no access to even basic medical provision, particularly women and children: http://www.karenwoofoundation.org
