"As the Shadow Minister for Education, I express my concern over the lack of consistency in dealing with teacher transfers as I understand that some teacher transfers will still take place as originally planned.

"I can confirm that despite an earlier statement by the Ministry of Education that all teachers transfers had been revoked, a number have been allowed to proceed.

"This inconsistency in the application of decisions designed to improve the delivery of public education has only caused further unease among teachers and a diminution of trust. It is imperative that the development of a framework for making these decisions across all levels of the public school system is acted upon immediately. Once again, my offer to assist the Minister stands as we are both committed to making our education system better," commented Mr. Brown.
