A 19-year-old man appeared in Magistrates' Court today accused of attempted murder.
Blaine Simmons was charged with attempting to murder Lo' Torean Durrant on March 19.
He was also charged with using a firearm to commit an indictable offence; namely attempted murder.
The defendant was not required to plea as the matters are indicable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
The court heard that the victim sustained gun shot wounds to his rib cage.
Mr Simmons of Southampton was remanded into custody.
He is represented by Marc Daniels and will reappear for mention in two weeks.
