BPSU appoints new treasurer

White collar union the BPSU has appointed a new treasurer.

Angie Farquarson, a qualified accountant, has taken over the post at the union, which represents civil servants.

Ms Farquarson, who is married with a daughter, has worked in Bermuda, the Bahamas and the US.

She has worked for the Bermuda Government since 2009 and is currently Ministry Comptroller for non-Ministry related departments at the Accountant General’s office.

Earlier, she was relief manager of compensation and benefits in the same department and became Comptroller before moving to her current role.

Union president Kevin Grant said: “I’m glad that she would like to be involved, given the feedback she has provided during our general membership meetings.”
